Shade Tolerant Bush Survey

Shrubs and Perennials - A Picture Show

A forsythia hedge - in need of pruning - but showing the fullness that can be developed by careful maintenance

This is a dappled willow, made to look like a tree. The dappled willow will also grow as a simple bush, with massive annual growth, and the foliage looks like above. Stunning.

Here is a picture of a dappled willow our neighbors put in only a few years ago, as a 5-gallon bush. Now it is almost 12 feet tall, and growing by the inch, every day.

The similarly super-hardy, can't-kill-it bush, Euonymus Manhattan, is both a prolific grower as well as a dense privacy specimen
